I officially hate Craigslist... well actually just the scammers.

What a great place to sell stuff, what a great idea to allow people to post for free... What a great idea in general....

BUT THEN... there are all those people, scammers, liars that bombard you with email after email after email on all your stuff. I woke up this morning with over 20 emails about my camera on craigslist. ALL SCAMS! Well except for two of them and one guy offered me $100.00 cash for my camera and the other guy offered me $250.00. I emailed them back and I said... "Is this a joke?"

I am so annoyed with all these internet scams... and now I have been getting bombarded with emails saying "Do you need money? Do you want to work for me?" Just because you are selling stuff doesn't mean you need money or a job...

It just ruins it for everyone. I think from here on out... yard sales or ebay... no more craigslist.

I really want this!

I think that this was meant for my hands... I really do... How ironic that yesterday I buy a new camera out of the blue, and am in the market now for a 300mm telephoto lens... and BAM! www.iheartfaces.com is giving one away... I may just have to wait to buy one now because this one is definately screaming in my ear... and Dea.... I know you are going to want this one too... but sorry it is mine! :D LOL!

I really hope my husband doesn't kill me

So I did it again.... I made a promise to my husband to not buy a new camera for while.... BUT CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGED! As you know my newest addition was the Nikon D60 and I love it... I really do! BUT....

I upgraded...again... I did and my husband just may kill me.... So you ask why? Well I actually have a very good reason for it. I have been selling all my old Olympus camera gear on Ebay and got a good chunk of money for it. For instance I sold an old lens of mine that I paid $350.00 for a year ago for over $400.00! Tell me how lucky that was!

So anyways back to my post. As I am researching new lenses for my D60 I found that this particular camera's lenses are outrageously expensive compared to the D80 and D90 versions. I guess there is some motor thing in the D60 that was only a feature for that model so you have to buy specialized lenses in order for the auto focus to work... all you D60 users out there no what I am talking about. So for instance... I wanted a F 1.4 50mm Portrait lens for my D60 and it was going to cost me a whopping $430.00 used! But brand new for the D80 they only costed $129.00 brand new for the same thing....

So I came to the conclusion that it would benefit me in the long run to just upgrade now. I need to sell my D60 now, so if anyone is in the market for one I am trying to sell it for $325 (body only). Or I would do a trade for a SB 800 TTL Flash or one comparable. Anyways I have been very busy lately and haven't posted for while... but as soon as my new lenses come in I am sure I will have lots of pictures to share with everyone!

Question for the Nikon users...

I have recently sold some of my old photography equipment and am in the market for a "decent" telephoto lens costing no more then $400.00. I have other items I need to get too so I don't want to spend more then that. If anyone can offer any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Road trip with Grandpa and Daddy

On Friday my husband had a service call out of town so his dad and him decided to take the kids with them so I could have the day off and work on birthday stuff. They drove up to Featherville for a few hours and played around in the mountains. Grandpa just emailed me these pictures and I wanted to share them with you.

Here is Monkey 1
and then monkey 2

and monkey 3
I think they had a great time... and so did mommy all by herself...!

Was my party really that boring?

So as we were enjoying the party my little Mario snuck off and we couldn't find him. This is where he was.... I will never ever forget this moment!

Sneak Peek!

I have hundreds of photos to sort through. But for now I have some pre-party photos to share with you. It took most of the morning to get things set up. The kids blew up the balloons while I decorated. I am so glad it is over! No more parties to plan until December! :D

So for those who knew my story about the cake... I cannot believe how wonderfully delicious it still tasted! Who ever thought a freezer burned chocolate cake could still be sinfully delicious! If you are still a boxed cake kind of person you have to be corrupted into trying out this recipe. It is called HERSHEY'S "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" Chocolate Cake.

This recipe was tried out by accident a few years ago when I forgot to buy a boxed cake for a party. I was in a hurry and found this recipe and had all the ingredients. Since then it is the only chocolate cake I will ever make! It beats Sarah Lee and Duncan Hines cakes!

My little Mario and Luigi! And this also gets Halloween out of the way now! My plan is to find a princess peach costume for Madison and somehow dress our dog into Yoshi... Maybe Josh could be bowser... LOL!
Here is my little 4-year old ham! No more terrible horrible threes!

Ryan's present from us. (P.S. He got a razor scooter!)
Meet chain chomp. He is the barking ball on Mario.
These were slapped together in case the cake was gross. Of course these tasted worse then the cake because they were boxed...
This place was my lifesaver for Mario and Luigi plates, napkins, etc. I went to Zurchers and many other stores and nobody carried this theme. I ordered them online from www.birthdayexpress.com I was surprised at how affordable they were and the items were superior quality! It just made the party that much better!
My homemade dollarstore hats with felt glued M's on them!
So for now that is it. We are going to do some power cleaning and maybe take the kids swimming but I will try and post more pictures later!
