Wikipedia says this about it "War Memorial Gymnasium is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose indoor arena on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Opened in November 1928,[6] the venue honors state residents who gave their lives in the service of their country in World War I.[4][7] The architectural style is Tudor-Gothic and is heavily buttressed; the chief architect was David C. Lange,[2][3] the head of the university's architecture department. The west end addition was built from 1951–52,[5] and the building was renovated in 1954.[8] Ivy partially covers the brick and concrete exterior, which is decorated with crouching football player gargoyles and stained glass windows.[9]"
It was a beautiful day and the building was gorgeous!! I wanted the kids to not think of Memorial Day Weekend as just a four day weekend from school, but to remember that this holiday has a very important meaning. We need to continually make sure we pray, recognize, serve, honor and thank anyone who has fought for our freedoms/lives and not take for granted how lucky we really are which can easily be forgotten as we live our day to day lives.
Moscow is such a pretty place to photograph this time of year! I have been really enjoying this nice weather and finally being able to explore without freezing my butt off!! :) I want to make sure I take full advantage of photographing these places before we move.
And in case anyone wants to learn the proper way to fold an American Flag, my boys took the time to research it, and practice it and here is the link

They were so proud of themselves. They were on their best behavior and made sure the flag never touched the ground or treat it disrespectfully. I am so thankful I have such sweet hearted boys.
