Kids - Parks - Picnics and Cops

When you plan a nice quiet picnic lunch with your kids at the park... the last thing you expect to see is 3 cops pulling up and interviewing people. Not sure what happened but when we pulled up we heard some shouting amongst a family and the cops had to get involved. It was quite entertaining for the kids to watch while they crammed down their food.

As far as quiet went at this park... well it wasn't. I think about a hundred families were there with their kids. I guess Meridian offers free food during the week for kids at certain parks Monday - Friday and I happened to show up when they were handing out lunches. It worked out great cause the kids were so excited. I had already packed a lunch for them but we ended up saving that for dinner and it worked nicely for mom cause I didn't have to cook!! They got apples, a salad, yogurt, milk and a sandwich in their lunches. Thank you City of Meridian for buying the kiddos lunch!

And of course if you have kids you know the same old routine. Once mom sits down to eat her lunch you hear "Mom I have to go potty!" It never fails. So I took the girls potty... and as you can see the cops are still in the background interviewing some of the people in the park!?!

Here are the kids just enjoying getting out of the house. I love this picture of Madi eating her apple and her messy hair! So adorable

And the boys recently discovered the skatepark next door. They no longer enjoy swings and slides. They want to play on concrete and go off ramps and do all the crazy things that make a moms heart skip a beat... And so for their birthdays which are in a few weeks, mom has already been convinced by daddy to buy them skateboards... but mom said only if they wear safety gear... so that will be included too! Don't need any brain dead kids!

And my next topic is... do you prefer these skateboard boys in baggy saggy pants or these skinny jeans... cause Iknow that skinny jeans are in... but really on guys? I just don't get it! I just don't find it attractive... what is your thoughts ladies? I prefer the saggy over the skin tight skinnies.

I should be sleeping but thanks to PW I am not!

Okay so it isn't her fault... but PW was recently discovered in my household... and I have become a fan! I love her seventies action... does anyone else also? So in about 60 seconds I used her sharpen, seventies, eye boost, color burn action, added my watermark and reduced image size to web quality (obviously I reduced opacities) but nonetheless I created this in about 60 seconds. Fast easy and unique! I love it!

Here is the Original SOOC
Best of all her actions are free.... can you believe that! I wish I had visited her sooner... maybe this morning cause I got kids coming over in less then 5 hours... I am going to be sleepy! Oh and guess what! I will get to try out my new lens on May 15th! That's right... I booked a wedding. I have also been working with a company and possibly doing there sports photography! It is so exciting to see things coming together. GOD IS GOOD even though he has really tested my patience this week!

I even got a call back on an event I did back in August at the Black's Creek Shoot Out and they asked if I would come back and do the event this year! I am so excited! I am actually making money doing what I love... how lucky can a girl get... I almost feel bad charging people cause I would probably do it for free if they begged me too! LOL! But I guess I have to pay for this equipment somehow... so my next baby is going to be the Nikon D300.... It will be in my hands by May 15th... GUARANTEED! Sorry hunny you have absolutely no say in this one!

On A Much Much Happier Note- Here are the girls!

I know... I know....I take to many photos of the girls. :D

Jake was at school. I got Ryan all dressed up for a St. Pattie's Day picture... spiked his hair... which he was not thrilled about and then when I called him in for the picture he comes in smiling with water dripping wet from sticking his head in the sink... He did not want spikey hair... or a green shirt.... So instead of laughing it off... I actually grounded him from the playstation! I was so mad at him... and now today I wake up and I am like "Why can't I be more like Rebekah at Life with Kaishon" when it comes to hair. LOL!

Okay so next time... I won't over react. After all... it is just a picture and how funny would it have been if I had taken a photo of my son with water dripping all over his face, hair matted down and a super soaked green shirt... Now I am seeing the humor in all this. I could have gotten a great shot... WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!

So for St. Patrick's Day... all we did was make boring green pancakes. And the kids thought it was gross... LOL! I will upload pictures of the pancakes tomorrow. I forgot to download them to my computer.

GIRLS - GIRLS - GIRLS - EVERYWHERE!!

What a busy week for me.... 3 two year old girls in my house all week. Mostly these pictures are of my niece Kylie because she was extra adorable this week! Oh and in case your wondering... this was taken with my cheap and trusty 50mm lens! I have become very fond of this lens! He looks so cheesy and small on my camera... but he sure does take great shots!

Welcome to our Tea Party...

4 little princess + 1 handsome man  = a great tea party!

This was so adorable and the girls really loved it when Ryan was serving them! He was such a gentlemen too! He made sure all his guests were happy and taken care of.... and if he poured to much water... I mean tea into their cups.... he picked them up and drank it down for them! LOL! What a proper young man i have raised!

Here are our Guests of Honor

He escorted each lady to their proper chair

Even Adda had to be a part of this whole event... she thinks she is human!

and like with all women... you can't please them all... This little lady was upset because she didn't want to sit in this chair!

Helping this little lady to her chair

yup... thats the dog again... seriously Adda... do you always have to be in the way!

Making sure each guest was served with hot fresh tea

The tasting of the tea

Uh oh! The tea was too hot... and there was a spill... Don't worry Ryan to the Rescue

Cleaning up the mess like a good little host

Nothing like tea and crackers...

All of our guests were happy when they left...

LOL! This was the funniest thing ever! Ryan is such a gracious host... I hope one day he will be a business man or a doctor... but then again... he would make a wonderful server too! :D No matter what he is... I will be proud of him.

Week 2: Photo Challenge - “Best Face Photo”

This week at iheartfaces we are celebrating their first year birthday! How exciting! I have been a member for quite a while now and it is such an amazing website for hobby, amateur and professional photographers. This weeks challenge was "BEST FACE" photo from either December 2009 or January 2010.

This was taken December 5th at my daughters 2nd birthday party. Here is a picture of my niece Kylie. I love this photo... The colors, her expression, her big brown eyes.. and even the toy across her face. It is just a unique photo and a lucky capture

My Two Little Cuties... and the Cat

These were taken yesterday right after I put my new bed spread on the bed. (The old one was ruined thanks to my great washing machine skills... I shouldn't ignore the "Dry Clean Only" sign.... Lesson learned!!

So anyways back to the cuties. The girls... as adorable as they are thought that making a bed meant that they could jump on it. After asking them numerous times to quit throwing my pillows on the ground... Olivia got an idea in her head to do "Picture Time"

I am always up for that... so this is what we got. The girls were happy to be my lil models... and even the Cat joined in for a shot...
