My beautiful niece Leandra's Baby Shower!

My niece and I are only a few weeks apart and we are both having girls!! How exciting to bring to beautiful angels into this world. Laury and Sydney did so awesome putting together the baby shower. Lots of delicious food, awesome games and tons of laughter. Isn't my niece the cutest pregnant gal you ever did see!! She looks amazing and the name she chose is so suiting to her personality. Leandra loves music so they named their daughter Minuet. :)

Can't wait to meet you little lady!

The Adventures of Putting up our Tree!

It is a tradition every year to put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. This year was probably the best year ever for us cause all three kids actually participated the entire time! They had so much fun setting up the branches, hanging the lights, beads and ornaments. We are so excited to get ready for the holidays and create our first memories in our new house.

When we were done hanging the branches we took a hot cocoa break and of course it wouldn't be a Roper tradition if one of the kids didn't spill their hot cocoa all over the floor.

And the final touches. We will try and post some better pics of the tree later. It was getting so dark by the time we finished and we were exhausted when we were done. :)

Our Family Photos 2011 - Boise Idaho Photographer

I got my family photos back from Jamie Hudson Photography. She did such a beautiful job and worked so good with my 3 little ones who don't always like to have their pictures taken :) This is the first year we had our family photos done and not attempted to do them ourselves (which never works like you want it too!). So fun and memories will last forever! Thank you so much for our memories of our family Jamie.

More of the Family - Part 2

I am so far behind! I don't know where time goes sometimes! It is Friday which mean Easter is right around the corner... good thing I got my Easter stuff done a couple of days ago otherwise I probably wouldn't have been done in time! LOL!

So I got my new Nikon D90 in the mail today! I am excited to try it out. It will have to wait till Easter though... can you believe I am too busy for my new camera... I shouldn't even be blogging right now... but oh well. So I did some test shots and I love it because it has a built in video camera which means I can share the cuteness of my kids from my camera. The first thing I did was take it out of the box and try it out. I got Ryan dancing in his underwear... yes it is 20 seconds of pure delite! :D

I will share that at a later time but for now here is some more of our family outing.

Families Rock!!!

My sister is having her baby tomorrow! So excited! Oh I just can't wait to meet you baby Kaden! So Sunday we finally got the adorable family together for one last photo before baby brother comes. (LOL! This was an impossible shot...) After some clipping and pasting of some heads and eyes... here is the final... I should show you the before photo... but seriously that would be embarrassing! :D But .... maybe I will if you can guess whose head isn't real!

Oh and guess what there names are too! Okay from oldest to youngest. Here we go...

Treighton, Clayton, Katelyn, Jaden, Kaden ... and Kylie (her's doesn't rhyme... BUT her middle name is Jaydon also!) So during this photoshoot. I managed to call everyone by the wrong name! But the parents had to do rhyming names didn't they!

Bowling for Valentines

Ugh... the dreaded game of bowling.... shoes that the neighborhood has worn, terrible flourescent lighting, gutter balls left and right (for me anyways) and greasy discusting cafe food. Why do we bowl? Why do kids love this game so much? I am not sure how many times I told Ryan the goal was not to throw the ball across the room... and then there was that one time when Jacob swung his ball back to hit the pins and it flew out of his hands backwards towards all of us... LOL! I guess that is what makes it fun... because the kids enjoy it... and seeing them smile makes me happy!!

Aren't these so stylish? I considered stealing them.. then I was reminded of the commandments... but then I reconsidered... then I thought about jail... changed my mind... Have you ever stolen a pair of bowling shoes before? LOL! :D

I made Ryan Granny Bowl... I am sure if I hadn't the floor would have had dents all over because he would throw it down the floor!

Madi was a little to young to play... so she enjoyed her sucker from the sidelines!


Josh was getting all fancy with his curve balls and cool bowling tricks... but I beat him still! (Barely) 95 to 98! Yeah go me!!! I was so close to breaking 100!

2009 Family Christmas Pictures

WOW!!

Can you believe the tree will be up on Friday and Christmas cards in the mail in the next couple of weeks! In a couple of days Christmas music will be on every station, every toy aisle will be jam packed full of last minute shoppers (so glad my shopping is done!), the return line at Wal-Mart will be a mile long, Christmas lights will be reflecting off the snow from the roof tops, and you will have to get up early to defrost and wipe the snow off your car... Tis the season already! :D Are you ready? Ready or not... it is time to get into the Holiday Spirit!


So on Sunday to get into our Holiday Spirit we headed for the hills and for the first time and did our family pictures playing in the snow. It was so laid back and fun! And what incredible backgrounds we had and the colors were so beautiful against the perfect white snow! I have so many pictures to share! I just loved them all!
