Tell Me What You Think

This is my logo design I created. My husband and I threw around business names for hours and hours today... Everything I came up with was already a name someone else came up with! I pondered soooo many ideas... and then my wonderful super smart and awesome husband thought of this! I loved it and the best thing about it is it describes what I do (non studio work) and it is catchy!

What do you think? Do you like the logo? The font? is there anything you would add or take out? I have been putting together my website and want to start advertising. I know everyone knows me as Roper Photography... but I never really liked that name.. it wasn't catchy but justed used it until I came up with my own. PLEASE advice... even if you don't like it... I just want to know what others think!

Bowling for Valentines

Ugh... the dreaded game of bowling.... shoes that the neighborhood has worn, terrible flourescent lighting, gutter balls left and right (for me anyways) and greasy discusting cafe food. Why do we bowl? Why do kids love this game so much? I am not sure how many times I told Ryan the goal was not to throw the ball across the room... and then there was that one time when Jacob swung his ball back to hit the pins and it flew out of his hands backwards towards all of us... LOL! I guess that is what makes it fun... because the kids enjoy it... and seeing them smile makes me happy!!

Aren't these so stylish? I considered stealing them.. then I was reminded of the commandments... but then I reconsidered... then I thought about jail... changed my mind... Have you ever stolen a pair of bowling shoes before? LOL! :D

Jacob realized quickly that bowling on the wii was alot different then bowling in real life
I made Ryan Granny Bowl... I am sure if I hadn't the floor would have had dents all over because he would throw it down the floor!
Madi was a little to young to play... so she enjoyed her sucker from the sidelines!

Josh was getting all fancy with his curve balls and cool bowling tricks... but I beat him still! (Barely) 95 to 98! Yeah go me!!! I was so close to breaking 100!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Don't you just love holidays? For me... it is just an excuse for new outfits and pictures of the kids... :D Imagine me saying, "But hunny it's Valentines Day... I HAVE to have a new outfit for the kids!!" And he falls for it everytime... (love you hunny) He never reads my blog anyways so I can talk about him all I want!

These were taken at Chief Joseph Elementary School. They have these bright green benches that I wanted to take pictures on. How are you spending your Valentines Day?

I Heart Faces - Fix it Friday

I so needed a baby fix today... so I was so happy to see a gorgeous baby as an edit! Some days I just really want to have a baby in the house again... mine is already two! So sad!

My prego sister was over today... and I convinced her to drink 2 tbs of castor oil... lets see if it works on her cause it worked on me with the twins! So here is my edit... Good ol Black and White with Selective colored eyes... easy, breezy, quick and done! To see other great edits to go http://www.heartfaces.com/

And guess what I got in the mail today... I received my Photoshop CS2!! It was Christmas morning for me! And yes I know I am not as cool as you others with the CS4... but hey.. it was affordable.... AND much better then elements... :D I can't wait to use it! Good ol Ebay... as long as you are careful... you can never go wrong!

Valentine Photos of Madi

I was actually attempting a shot at dancing for a iheartfaces contest coming up... but didn't have any lucky... so instead of wasting an adorable moment of her in her ballerina outfit... I gave her a heart sucker and will claim that these were her Valentines shots! :D

Mommy and Ryan Day Golfing

Ugh.... I really debated on whether or not to share these HORRIBLE photos that I took! I mean.... really could they have gotten any worse!! BUT it is now time for constructive critism.... any suggestions on black light photography when no tripod is available? I had my ISO to 1600, my gamma to 5 and F 1.8.... did I do anything different then what you would have done? I tried different shutter speeds but in some 1/30 of a second... sometimes less sometimes more.... Okay ready set... tell me what i did wrong! :D  Maybe it was impossible considering it was pretty much pitch black in the room.... i did end up resorting to my flash in some pics.... just to capture his face in some

So besides the terrible picture quality... here we go. Ryan and i had a mommy son day. it was fun... and he was like a nascar driver though this course. His goal was to do each hole in as little time as possible... so our little event lasted maybe 15 minutes.
