Family day at Ann Morrison Park

We had family day at the park Sunday morning and had so much fun! Family days are rare now that Josh and I are both working so we really cherish the moments when we do get to spend time together. Josh and I took the kids on the Greenbelt and rode bikes along the Boise River. And as ALWAYS my camera followed and we got so many great photos of the kids.

First we rode bikes to the river and let the kids swim for a bit. Josh played with the boys while I found a nice big tree and sat in the shade with the babies. Then we walked over to the park and let the kids play on the playground. Madison and Kylie attacked each other in the tubes. It was pretty funny.

Madison just started "officially" crawling so it was neat watching her play in the tubes. We ended the day at Dairy Queen with some blizzards. It was the perfect end to a long hot day. On the way home... well not so perfect... the van broke down and we had four kids in a broken down vehicle.

Ryan my three year old assistant in training!

My son is officially in training! I need an assistant photographer and nothing is better then free labor. I started training my son to use my camera! Ryan took these photos of me on the bed. I think he did a great job. What do you think?

Riding Bikes at Ann Morison Park

The kids and I went to Ann Morrison for the day yesterday and rode bikes... It was an adventure. Josh helped me get the kids ready before he went to work but forgot to pack a bottle for Madison and I didn't realize that until we were in the middle of the park walking around. So we had to go to the nearest gas station and buy a bottle for Madison. When we got there a homeless man INSISTED on buying the kids an ice-cream. It was such a nice gesture... but unfortunately he also spent the rest of his change on beer. The lady at the register said he had already been in twice that day and bought beer. Kind of sad and all he could say over and over to me was "I have a good heart.... I have a good heart."

We started riding our bikes back to the park area and Ryan found THE ONLY MUD PUDDLE THAT EXISTS IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER ON THE GREENBELT and fell off his bike! It was hilarious. So we went down to the river and washed him off in the freezing cold water. Anyways me by myself with four kids on the Greenbelt was a little hectic but it was fun.
