So I told my husband that I wanted a laptop for Christmas (as mine died almost a year ago) and I loved photo editing from it. I loved taking it to the park while my kids played and I could work on company stuff or photography... But now I am stuck to an old fashioned desktop!
I recently owned a 17" Toshiba Satellite Laptop which I loved until it quit working 1 month after the 1-year warranty. Now it is just a really nice paper weight... I mean really nice paperweight.... a $1700 paperweight... piece of junk!!!! Still angry about this can you tell!!! :D
SOOOOO..... now I am in the market for a laptop. My goal is to have one in my hands before delivering these babies so I can bring it with me to the hospital. I will have a scheduled C-Section... my first one... and a little scary... which means I will be in the hospital for 3-4 days... It will be a great time to do some blogging!!! :D And I know how much everyone misses me soooo I really need some advice here!
Any recommendations? And if so why? I appreciate any and ALL advice! I found one I really like but don't want to end up with a clunker... I don't think the government will be giving me any rebates on my laptop clunker anytime soon so this will need to last a little longer then a year! LOL!!

Glad to see some more posts. My hubby just bought me a laptop for my birthday. It is a Sony Vaio. The model # is VGN-FW34OD. It is really quick with the photoshop elements. My old laptop was so slow with that program so this new one seems great. It was $899 on sale but I am sure there are much better ones out there too. I hope someone can tell you more info than I can. Goodluck with the search.
I don't have a laptop...so I can't help you out there. Good to hear from you, I hope your doing well, take care and try and post when you can.
Hey Stef!
I don't personally have any recommendations for a laptop, but I hope you find a good! You have earned it!
I am so excited for you and the family involved in your pregnancy!! 6 weeks will go by fast, and I can't wait to read your blogs while you are in the hospital, I will pray for you that all goes well!!
It was the Ringling brothers. Just not as good as they used to be. The last time I went was when Ryan and my little man were babies. Y'all sat in front of us and that kid puked on the stairs. ugh... do you remember?
ha ha no thats not me, its my little sister lol. good luck finding a good laptop, i have no advice for you =[
Hey, Steph. Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you. I had no idea you were on bed rest. I've had 3 c-sections. I did go into labor with my first born, but it didn't happen. My experience with c-sections has been very positive. My biggest fear was that I would feel them cutting. Don't even worry about that. It is amazingly easy, and you will be totally numb. For me, C-sections were pretty quick to recover from. Don't be afraid to use the pain medication as much as you need it.
As far as computers go? I have an HP. It is a bit buggy, although it is still working. :) Dell seems to be a very well-respected name with laptops. Just make sure you get as much RAM as possible and a decent processor.
Hope you have a great week!
