Mommy and Ryan Day Golfing

Ugh.... I really debated on whether or not to share these HORRIBLE photos that I took! I mean.... really could they have gotten any worse!! BUT it is now time for constructive critism.... any suggestions on black light photography when no tripod is available? I had my ISO to 1600, my gamma to 5 and F 1.8.... did I do anything different then what you would have done? I tried different shutter speeds but in some 1/30 of a second... sometimes less sometimes more.... Okay ready set... tell me what i did wrong! :D  Maybe it was impossible considering it was pretty much pitch black in the room.... i did end up resorting to my flash in some pics.... just to capture his face in some

So besides the terrible picture quality... here we go. Ryan and i had a mommy son day. it was fun... and he was like a nascar driver though this course. His goal was to do each hole in as little time as possible... so our little event lasted maybe 15 minutes.

I think you did a wonderful job without a tripod.

I have no idea on how to get them better, I still have so much to learn!

There is absolutely nothing you could have done differently. Sometimes, the light situation is what it is. And you have to decide...do I want the memory or a picture that will go on the wall? If that is your choice, always go with preserving the memory!!! I can't wait to hear how you are enjoying CS2. I have CS3 and haven't even considered upgrading to CS4 because I still have much to learn before investing more money. And have fun with actions, but use them with a light hand. I look back at my early action applications and shudder. Simply overdone, every one of them! :)
