Would Your Bank Do This For You?
Yesterday a large amount of money was stolen out of our account by a fake check. Our checking account Number and routing number was on the check? How? Not sure... obviously stolen and illegally written. Thankfully this was caught immediately and our accounts are frozen. The money not taken is now safe... but if this happened to you would your bank cover your losses? Thankfully our bank took immediate action and our money will be returned whether or not they recoop the money back. So far the only info we have (which is not confirmed) is we believe the money was stolen from the UK... surprise, surprise... right!) I know this doesn't happen to everyone... but if it did are you covered?

Pray for baby Kaden...
Have you heard of the Duggard Family? Who hasn't right! So anyways the mother delivered her baby at 28 week due to a kidney stone. My sister is also pregnant but thankfully not 28 weeks pregnant. She still has about 6 weeks left and the baby would do okay if born now... but she is having another kidney stone attack right now and the doctor said if it gets worse to get to the hospital as they may have to take the baby today. they can't do anything with the kidney stone until after the baby is born.... So if you have a moment please pray for my sisters health... and also for the babies safety... it is still a little too soon for Baby Kaden to come into this world!!

Be careful where you sit...
So anyways yesterday my son received an award from his 1st Grade Teacher. He got the Academics award this year! Can you believe my son is turning out as smart as me. Okay actually he gets his brains from his dad... but that's another blog.
I am so proud of him! He really is one of the most intelligent and mature little boys for his age. At this moment the only thing that would make me even happier is when he tells me he asked Jesus into his heart... then I would officially know that maybe I didn't go completely wrong in raising him!
I LOVE YOU JAKEY... I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
Madi didn't have a very good day yesterday... a little fussy but still cute in the process
Ryan was happy to take a picture for me... I had to bribe him... "I will let you stand on that rock if you take a picture....!" That is a photographers secret... you have to bribe your kids....

Melissa's Maternity Photos
Anyways my sister Melissa is pregnant with my niece Kennedie Grace. Isnt' that such a beautiful name! We were limited on time so we were unable to finish all the ones we wanted to do... but for now this is what I have.
Me and Mommy time before baby is born!
Can you believe my sister painted this tree! It was featured in a pottery barn kids magazine and so she recreated it. I think it turned out amazing!
You can never have enough blankets... but I think in this case... maybe you can!
The big sis!
She was pouting because she wanted me to take pictures of her and not her mommy.... so in the process I snapped a picture of her pouting!
Have you ever met Lucky? My sister named him that because he was a dog rescued from New Orleans after the Hurricane.
And here is my little niece... She has the cutest button nose!

My Week in Photos
My New Years Resolution.... better late then never right!
So I told my husband we are going on a diet... and he was not thrilled. In fact he keeps sneaking junk food. He asked why he had to be on a diet too... and I said because we are in this together and I don't want to do this alone! Plus why make separate meals! If he doesn't like it he can make his own food... LOL!
So here are some recipes I have tried out of a book called 100 Healthiest Foods given to me by my FIL ... which is amazing and includes many recipes. So far so good... in about a week I went from 125 to 119. And actually the food isn't bad at all... even my husband said that for "Healthy Foods" It's pretty good
This is a Mexican Salad with...
Romaine Lettuce
Yellow Onions
Black Beans
Avacado
Steamed Chicken Breast
Salsa
Fat Free Cheddar Cheese (definately not regular Cheddar but doesn't taste horrible)
Roma Tomatoes
Healthy Sauteed Shrimp with Salad
Shrimp was sauteed in Vegetable broth (healthier then cooking in oil) and then added fresh minced garlic, sea salt and cracked pepper. Then after done cooking drizzle olive oil and lemon juice on top
Salad: Romaine lettuce, yellow onions soaked in vinegar for flavor, walnuts, feta cheese, sea salt and pepper. The dressing was a mix of olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
I am sure after the holidays lots of people have a few pounds to lose! These recipes are worth trying. If you want a detailed recipe let me know. I can email to you! Even if not trying to lose weight, these are just great recipes for just healthy eating.

10 Years have passed...
Unfortunately neither I nor my children ever got to meet this incredible women... but at least we have the stories and memories from my husband to know what kind of women she was.
It is sad because she would have been one incredible grandmother to my kids. I feel like God took apart of their lives away from them. I don't know why but I guess I just have to have faith that there was a reason. I know she left an incredible testimony before she passed and she is a huge part of why her 5 children are advocates for the Lord... and because of her grace and love her children brought me and my friend Jody (who is also my sister in law) to the Lord...
I would love to share her testimony... and I pray that I only use this story to enrich your lives and love for the Lord.
Before Debbie got cancer she was a loving wife, a pregnant mother of 5, a business owner, and a Member and Leader of Right to Life of Boise. She was the glue that held the family together.
When she went to the doctors for a lump in her breast she was pregnant with my sister in law Jessey. The doctor told her that she had breast cancer and needed to start chemo immediately. They suggested an immediate abortion of her unborn baby Jessey because if she didn't start chemo now it would kill her and the baby.
Fortunately Debbie was a women of Faith, and prayed her heart out that she would live long enough to give birth to her baby and then start chemo. And miraculously God answered her prayers.
Jessey was born at 28 weeks (the doctors took her out as soon as she would survive outside the womb). By that point the doctors said her cancer had progressed and gave her less then 6 months to live. It was devastating news to the family. Can you imagine how her husband must have felt to know that in 6 months his wife could pass and he would have 5 children (including a newborn baby) to raise by himself....
But Debbie put her faith in the Lord over the Doctors and prayed that she would live long enough to see her newborn daughter become a women. And God answered her prayers. Jessey turned 16 in November of 1999 and Debbie passed away less then two months later. How amazing is that. Despite Debbie's odds statistically... she fought breast cancer with God on her side for 16 years.
This story alone reminds me how powerful God is. And how much he cares for you... and that he does listen... he hears your prayers... and he will answer them... and when they are considered "miracles" like Debbie's story was... it becomes an amazing testimony... and that means... it is a story that we must share with the world to remind us that God works continuously in our lives, every day, every minute of every second!
The following pictures are our visit to her grave December 22nd 2009. These photos were long over due to make it to my blog... I have no excuse for my shortness in blogs... just lack of time... my usual excuse.

Maternity Photos of Jenny
Here are the maternity photos I took. I had a hard time doing pictures without my flash... I am stepping on new grounds here! :D But I love the benefits of natural lighting on pictures so I thought this would be a great opportunity to try.
A not so funny, slightly boring and pictureless ramblings of my day for Rebekah!
it was a restless night... Madison wouldn't sleep... and then my alarm clock went off and after Ihit the snooze button several times I finally woke up... didn't get coffee cause my husband is out of town and I am to dumb to know how to brew coffee... so I am exhausted and lazy and didn't make my son's lunch for school (bad mom!) ... so as he is asking me where is lunch is and i tell him to get money out of my purse... I put on Dora for my kids so maybe I can snooze for just 5 minutes longer... but the dog is licking my face cause he has to go potty and the cat is meowing at me cause she is hungry... so I get my butt up finally... clean up the messy syrup and milk mess my kids left for me on the counter because they attempted to made breakfast...because did i mention I was too lazy to do it for them... and then get a call from my sister wondering why I wasn't at her house... Oh yeah! I forgot i had an appointment to take her pictures. So i rush to get the kids over to her house and as i am taking pictures i notice my battery to my camera is half dead... so a little annoyed that i didn't plan a head of time... And did i mention the lighting in her house sucked! So finally after hours of pictures... we are done and I go home to find my husband got home from out of town and is attempting to do laundry... and trying to put my wet clothes in the dryer... did I mention I hang dry all my clothes... because i do! So after telling him for the hundredth time not to do laundry or dry my clothes because it ruins them I think he finally got the point... but then asked me what was for dinner... Oh yeah dinner... Hadnt planned that far ahead yet... so throw something in the oven... sit down to edit photos and here I am hours later playing on the computer when I should be sleeping... and my smug mug is experiencing techincal difficulties so i can't even upload my photos tonight... So there you to... my not so interesting... but very busy day!
Oh did you want a picture?!?
Here is one for you
:D
It's my smiley face picture! LOL! you are the best... thanks for the laugh! hope you enjoy my blog today!
