Sorry no pics but I have ANOTHER STORY TO TELL!

So today was grocery shopping day and as I pull into the parking lot of a local market I witness a car cutting through a parking lot hitting a cart that wasn't put away that rammed into the side of a another car. Then I see the person get out and check their car and then the other car they hit and then take off. Didn't leave a note or anything.

I left a note on the car with my number to call because there was damage done to the vehicle. I got the license plate number and vehicle description. The person called and it ended up being a 75 year old war veteran on fixed income and this was his first new car that he had just purchased two weeks prior....

I am so glad I was there to witness what happened. I have had this happen to me before (Thank goodness I drive an older vehicle so I didn't care as much) but his was only 2 weeks old. So I did my good deed for the day... and now I am done with those for the evening... :D LOL!!

Has this ever happened to anyone? Have you ever done that to anyone else....? Actually don't answer that one! :D

I'm so glad you were there too! This has happened to me, well it was hubby's brand new truck, but I might as well say me LOL. He only had it for 2 months and someone really dented the back end side of it while pulling out of a parking spot. Nothing was left and we never knew who did it. It cost $950 to fix and of course the deductible was $1000 so we paid out of pocket. I really hope they also get charged with leaving the scene!! Good for you.

Thats o.k., no worries on hurrying or anything, I just wanted to make sure they came through o.k. : )
I can't wait to see pics from this weekend though!
Guess what! I finally ordered photoshop elements 7. I can't wait to get it. Gimp is a lot like it, but it doesn't have a lot of cool options or anything like photoshop. I think it will be easier because it seems like photo shop is what everyone uses now days.
Your shopping story just warmed my heart. I have a weakness for the elderly, they are just so darn cute! I am glad there are good people out there in the world to take care of them. : )Also that is crazy about the marijuana plants!

Ya know I sure hope for this man's sake that it doesn't end up like the situation I witnessed...We were at Sam's Club and I saw a man PUSH his cart real Hard so it flew across the parking lot and smashed into acardoor! You could hear it and instantly saw the dent ! Justy like that! ANd he saw me watching him! I quickly got into my truck and backed up to him so he couldn't leave! I wrote down the plate # and his wife (?) got out and started screaming at me!!! I went and parked and went back inside to call police and reported it, they showed up and wrote it up but said nothing could be done because they probably didn't have insurance and would deny it and being in a parking lot you are at your own risk!!! Can you believe that??? I think you did the right thing...what a sad world we live in, huh?

Way to be a good citizen, I am proud of you! Someone did something like that to us a few years back, and someone else left a note that we thought was just a flyer but luckily my dad saw the text on it. The people who left the note talked to us and the cops and the person that hit us tried to park in the wrong direction, banged up our vehicle then just left. lol.

Oh Steph! I am so glad you saw that. I just love older people. I love to hear their stories. They are so rich and full. I love to look in their eyes and see the years. How great that you could help this man. I hope that the person that did it realizes what they did is wrong.

I have never hit a car in a parking lot. Thank goodness : ).

Hi. I hopped over from Life with Kaishon and you have a sweet blog!

I have witnessed a drunk guy driving through a mall parking lot and he stopped when he hit a light post. Luckily it was not some thing or someone else...

Glad you witnessed that so you could help the man. Sleep soundly tonight knowing you did the right thing!

That made me chuckle, the part about being done with your good deeds for the evening! :)

So glad you were there to see that and that you got the license plate number! Good for you!!!! You deserve the "citizen of the year award"! ;)

Thankfully, the only damage I've ever done to a vehicle is to my own..... I backed into a pole once leaving the grocery store parking lot. LOL! Very embarassing! But there was very little damage done to the car!

I had someone tear my side view mirror off my car when I was shopping at the mall. Not cool! And they didn't leave a note either. At least a "oops! I knocked your mirror off, sorry!" would have have been nice! Oh well, we just super glued it back on! LOL!

You are wonderful for doing that for him!! What kind of person would do that? Drive off like that? shame on them!! So glad they aren't getting away with it.

I was t-boned in the parking lot once after my first son was born. So the emotional wreck I was in didn't get any better when that happened. The kid didn't have insurance. He did pay for my damage. Glad you were there to get the info.
