I cannot believe it is already 4th of July! I love this holiday! I love fireworks and I love dressing up the kids and having a family day... Sadly this will be the first fourth of July my husband won't be here because he has to work. For all that don't know my husband has his own plumbing business so right now he is taking whatever work he can find. Construction is a little slow but God has blessed us lately with "TOO MUCH" Work!! :D Unfortunately for me it has been out of town :(
So for starters today I realized that I really need to do some computer clean-up. I haven't downloaded any of my pictures to my website in the last couple of months so as I am downloading pictures today it says "I am out of memory!" LOL! I take too many pictures!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe 4th of July! I pray that God keeps everyone safe! Sorry I haven't been posting or leaving comments... but life has gotten slightly busy this summer!
I can't wait for the fireworks tomorrow. I am going to attempt some fireworks shots. If anyone has any advice let me know. I am no good at low-light pictures; so no-light pictures will probably be an even bigger challenge but I can't wait to try!
Here are the kids plus the dog...
I can't believe they are all smiling and the dog is looking at me... Too bad they are staring at the ceiling!?!

I am on a mailing list for someone that has photography forum. I will have to look and see exactly what it is called, but they sent an email with info on how to do firework photography. What I learned from it was, keep the ISO on 100, the apeture should actually be between f8-16, and you actually want to shoot with a slower shutter speed. He didn't specifically say how slow, but not to slow. You will just get better results with a slower one. He also said to use a tripod, and a remote if you have one to help prevent the shake mode. Keep your flash off, it won't help at all, and if you don't have the remote setup, put it on a timer, that will also make it easier with the tripod and prevent any shaking when you hit the shutter button.
I am going to attempt some too! I am not sure how good my little point and shoot will do with it, but its always fun to try and practice!
oh, also, he suggested doing the horizontal shots, and experiment with getting sillohettes of people and buildings to give the picture more varieties.
I can't wait to see what you come up with! : )
Thanks! And your right i have been a bit behind, but i have been so busy! lol. I am going to try and post more often ;)
And adorable pictures! They all look like they are having fun! And good luck with the firework pictures, I am going to try to get some with my new camera.
